Marble island restoration

Marble is a fairly soft stone and it is prone to marking because of its calcium carbonate makeup. An acid reacts with calcium carbonate and literally eats away a tiny bit of the surface, creating dull spots known as etches.

Though some people mistake etching for a stain or “water spots,” it is actually acid damage to the surface of the stone. Fortunately, our skilled technicians can remove this damage, as well as scratch marks and dullness, and refinish your stone to like-new condition. We will also educate you in ways to prevent this kind of damage, such as always using the appropriate bathroom cleaning products.
